WHEN THINKING HARDER ISN'T HELPING, SOMETIMES YOU NEED A DIFFERENT WAY OF LISTENING TO YOURSELF
Sometimes you don't know exactly what's wrong. You just know something feels different.
You might be feeling stressed, tired or disconnected from yourself. You might be carrying tension in your body, struggling to make sense of something you're experiencing, or simply have a sense that something needs your attention — without knowing quite what it is.
We can become so accustomed to living in our heads, analysing, interpreting and trying to understand, that we can lose touch with what we're actually experiencing.
The Object Speaks offers a different way in.
Through guided exploration with symbolic objects, you'll be invited to slow down, become curious and notice what emerges — your thoughts, feelings, bodily responses, associations and perspectives.
There's no right interpretation and nothing you need to figure out in advance. The process is about creating space to discover what becomes meaningful for you.
Some things are difficult to access through thinking or talking alone. By approaching your experience in a different way, you may discover something you hadn't noticed before, see a situation from a new perspective, gain clarity around something that has been difficult to put into words, or notice an area of yourself that needs more attention.
Sometimes we already know more than we realise. We just need the space to listen differently.

IN THIS WORKSHOP YOU WILL
STEP OUTSIDE YOUR USUAL WAY OF THINKING
Discover what becomes possible when you create space beyond your usual patterns of thought.
GET CURIOUS
Explore yourself through creativity, symbolism and reflection.
RECONNECT
WITH YOURSELF
Discover a different way of listening to yourself and deepen your trust in your own inner voice.
What actually happens?
You'll be guided through a simple, creative process:
Choose an object that catches your attention. There’s no right or wrong choice — simply notice what you’re drawn towards.
Explore your response through gentle questions and reflection. What do you notice? What do you feel? What does the object bring to mind?
Get curious about what emerges — including thoughts, feelings, bodily responses, memories, associations and perspectives.
Discover your own meaning. The object doesn't have a hidden meaning that I interpret for you. It becomes a starting point for your own exploration.
Reflect and integrate what you've discovered and consider what, if anything, you want to take away from the experience.
You don't need to be creative.
You don't need any previous experience.
And you don't need to know what you want to explore.
Just come with an open mind and a willingness to be curious about yourself.
What you might leave with
A FRESH PERSPECTIVE
See yourself, a situation or something you're navigating in a different way.
GREATER SELF-AWARENESS
Notice thoughts, feelings, bodily responses or patterns that may have been just outside your awareness.
CLARITY & INSIGHT
Bring something into focus that has been difficult to understand or put into words.
What you discover will be personal to you. There is no single outcome you're supposed to reach.

LUCY JOY KNIGHT
Counsellor and workshop facilitator creating a safe, supportive and confidential space for exploration.
I've been supporting adults and young people for over 15 years, and my work is rooted in creating spaces where people can slow down, feel safe to explore and develop a deeper understanding of themselves.
The Object Speaks grew from my belief that self-awareness doesn't always come through talking or thinking alone. Sometimes a different way of exploring ourselves can open up something we couldn't quite reach before.
This workshop brings that idea into a small, creative and experiential group setting.
