GRATITUDE

How often do you just stop what you are doing and take account of where you are, what you are doing, what's around you, not only physically but in general, in life? Asking, how did I come to be here? What journey have I gone through to get me to this point in my life? Reflecting on how far you've come, how much you have developed and grown through hard times and good.
Life isn't easy, it can really test us at times, but we can easily get caught up in the negatives, the things that are happening TO us, being done TO us. But there is also so much beauty, so much to be thankful for, grateful for. Those beauties are around us all day every day so why don't we stop more often to see them, look at them? Really pay attention and notice them.
It is through our struggles that we grow, with each difficulty there is opportunity. Instead of focusing on the problem... have you instead focused on the the journey to the solution? the lesson? What can I take from this? What is this teaching me, to help me grow, to enrich me in experience, in life?
It's funny how we spend so much time and focus working towards things, our desires, our goals, but when we've finally reached them, and they are in the here and now, they become our normality, and then we just strive for the next thing. We can become frustrated in what we are lacking, but if we just stop and reflect for a while , we are open to acknowledging what we do already have, our own abundance, our achievements, all we have and everything that got us to the here and now.
Whatever that looks like, be grateful for it all and grateful in the knowing that you are here...now.
